Some of you may already know this method which relates to creating a simple piece of software (very easy to do) and then submitting it to hundreds of shareware and freeware sites!

This is a great method for getting backlinks and tons of traffic to your website.

Now for the software you can create a toolbar, screensavers or easiest of all…Just convert your existing website or a bunch of articles into an exe file. This can be achieved using a free software program called WebSiteZip.

Once done you need to create something called a PAD file and start submitting your software to the hundreds of software directories.

TIP: When creating your PAD file make sure where it asks for company name to put your keyword.

Free chatboxes are easily installed on websites and blogs to give a little user interaction. They are popular because they are Free and very easy to install by pasting a line of code into your site or blog.

So how do we take advantage of them? Well when you post a message your also asked for your url!! So make sure your name is your keyword and the url is the site you want to promote. Easy peasy.

How to find these chatboxes some of which are high PR

To find and post into these chats just perform a Google search as follows:-

For Tagbox sites type:- “Powered by Tagbox”

For cbox sites type:- allintext:[get a cbox]

For ShoutMix sites type:- “powered by shoutmix” , “Free Chat Widget” , “Free shoutbox”

Although your links will not be permanent and will eventually scroll off the screen.These chatboxes are cached by the mighty Google and will appear in search results. So get chatting but dont just spam or someone might erase or push you off the screen quickly.

Heres a trick you may know about, but ive seen people selling this idea for $50 plus so at least ive saved you a bit of dosh.

The idea behind getting a high PR link which results in higher serps and traffic of course is the Top Commentators area that is enabled on many blogs.

Lets look at a sample blog. Check out UberAffiliate.com

This is a PR4 blog and if you scroll down and look at the bottom left corner you will see the top commentators section, This area has a link back to the website of the top 10 commentators. So if you leave a comment on any post in this blog your score will go up.

As you can see, the highest comment score is 6 comments! The guys name is a link to his site straight from a PR4 blog!

Now this is amazing because if you make over 3 comments on this blog you can end up on the homepage with a link to your website. As you know a PR4 link could cost you $20 a month or more, so for a few minutes work you can save a small fortune.

Make sure you read the post and leave a useful or constructive comment though or you may get deleted. You can then replicate this on many other blogs resulting in a high PR for your site on the next Google update.

These websites lets you ping currently more than 40 websites with a single click including high authority sites such a Yahoo and Technorati. Just post your website and also any new posts you make make to your blog, submit that page too.

So why should you ‘ping’ and what does it mean?

After you have written your latest blog entry you hit the Publish now button and then what? In the traditional website days you would have to wait until people visited your site and spotted something new. You may even go and re-register your link to the search engines in the hope they would come and recrawl you again in the next few days or even weeks.

Wouldn’t it be much nicer if my website could just tell all these different sources that my content had changed, at the time of publishing instead of having to do it manually?

This is exactly what a web ping does. A web ping is a small request that goes out from your blog to alert services that are interested in your data that your content has changed. This ping goes out to the search engines and the new breed of portals called aggregators. An aggregator is a place that brings together content from all different sources and arranges them into related categories depending on what their audience is looking for.

Services such as Technorati, Yahoo, Ping-o-matic etc all get notifications that your blog has changed, and they will then come and look at your blog to get the latest information.

This results in a greater audience for your information. You are telling the search engines that your site/blog has changed and needs to be recrawled.

So what are you waitting for? Get pinging and get more traffic.
